Hello Everyone, Dr. Khademi here. I have to admit that lately I have been guilty of not practicing what I preach . Life always has something new in the corner waiting for you and it’s often easy to fall off track if you are not careful. About a year ago, I found a new passion — Tennis. Shortly after I picked up this new sport, I introduced it to my wife and children. I was so excited about it that they also got the bug and soon we found ourselves playing tennis three to four times a week, watching the tennis channel at home and keeping up with all tournaments around the world. Because of my addiction to the game, I began to slowly drift away from my normal fitness routine. As some of you who play the sport may know, Tennis, if played frequently, is a very demanding sport on your body and it will take a toll on you if you are not careful.
I am currently writing this blog on board a B747 on my way to our factory in China. With every key stroke, my elbow, shoulder and knee pain is creeping in pretty badly — this pain has been a daily event for me recently. It’s been mainly my elbow but the general soreness of knee and shoulder is there as well.
The not practicing what I preach is what has led to this pain. Stretching and toning on daily basis as I have been asking you to do are essential in preventing injury no matter what the sport you play is. Although I do stretch and warm up before my tennis matches, followed by a more aggressive stretch after my games, my mistake was not stretching away from the game every day before I go to sleep and in the morning when I wake up. I also stopped toning and strengthening my muscles four to five times a week to keep them is shape so they can support and protect my joints. The excitement of playing tennis and the level of high intensity activity it was providing fooled me in thinking that it was enough. But it was actually placing more demand on my body and joints — something my body was not prepared for and is now ailing because of it.
The moral of this story is, regardless of what level of activity you have in your life, a regular and daily stretching and toning routine for your muscles can prevent injuries and help you enjoy a pain free life. For me, I now have to ease up on my tennis playing and let my joints heal while I stretch and tone a little every day. I have to ice my joints and when I do get back in the full swing of playing tennis again, I will make sure to continue to stretch and tone to prevent this from happening again. I did learn my lesson and I hope that you take my word for it so you can spare yourself a similar experience. Visit IsoStrength.com where you will find all the tools you need — portable stretching and toning products with all the guidance and instructions required to keep your muscles healthy and your game, whatever it may be, in top form. Be sure to drink plenty of water, take deep breaths and ALWAYS incorporate a stretching, toning and cardio routine in your life.
Until next time,
Dr. Khademi here…..
It has been awhile since we last spoke. Always be sure to drink lots of water, breath deeply and stretch on a daily basis. I just returned from a trip around the country visiting a wide range of NBA players and trainers, college athletic departments and college trainers as well. What surprised me quite a bit during my tour as I was introducing my products to them and explaining the benefits of stretching was that many of these professionals, whose livelihood depends on healthy muscles and constant upkeep, do not spend the time necessary to stretch and keep themselves healthy. Many of the injuries, pulled muscles, torn muscles and back pain that have put some of the most prominent athletes in the NBA on the bench recently is directly related to a lack of mobility in their joints and their muscles. After spending a few hours with these trainers, it is clear to see that one or two trainers cannot possibly dedicate enough time with 12-15 players on a professional roster or college lineup to effectively prevent some of these injuries and issues from occurring.
What I was able to do was introduce our IsoStrength family of products to them so that they can distribute them to their players so that they can stretch themselves before and after the games in an effort to keep loose. Several players on these teams are now using these products and hopefully improving their muscle health and flexibility as a whole. Professional and college athletes face the same challenges we all do with regard to body upkeep and dedicating time to stretch appropriately. Luckily, we have now introduced them to the appropriate tool to help them build a strong daily stretch regimen.
While you shouldn’t feel bad that you do not stretch everyday, you can feel better knowing that these professional and collegiate athletes are not concentrating on stretching enough either. So I ask all athletes, be it professional, amateur or casual to make a concerted effort, a few times daily, to stretch be it at work or in between workouts and training. Carry an IsoStrength Lite with you and spend some time during the day stretching. As your productivity on the court, or in the office increases, you can pass the vital knowledge along to your friends and help them stretch and remain injury free.
Have a great day and talk to you again soon!
Hi, Dr. Khademi here — remember to drink plenty of water, breathe deeply and stretch daily.
Make ooZeeki’s IsoStrength products (www.isostrength.com) a part of your injury prevention program. Being flexible and getting rid of your tight muscles is paramount to preventing injuries. However, this is not something that can happen with inconsistent stretching. It is key that you take a few minutes each day to stretch various muscles of the body. By doing so you are able to increase the range of motion in your entire body and prepare your body to be able to endure the extreme movements and stresses the body experiences during various types of fitness and labor.
Injuries accumulate as you grow older. With every injury you attain as you grow into your teens, twenties and so on, your joints begin to weaken and those same areas grow prone to recurrent injury. Because of this you are unable to perform to your maximum abilities and it can often lead to hesitancy to do so and the onset of sedentary lifestyle. With routine stretching using our products you will be able to train your muscles to be flexible and increase your performance and continue to participate in all the activities you enjoy well into your 50’s and 60’s.

Wow, really, stretching to lose weight – how do you do that? Well, this will require a willing lifestyle change we think we can help you with. Many people do not participate in exercise because it causes them pain and fatigue. The same people who are not motivated to exercise because of hectic jobs or an overall sedentary lifestyle should take the time to stretch their bodies on a daily basis. By stretching your body routinely, you become more motivated and experience less pain as well. The idea is that the time you set aside to stretch will serve as a spark plug to become more physically active all together. Before you know it you are stretching, exercising and gradually developing the desire to be a more mobile individual who incorporates daily wellness into their lives. Studies have shown that there are many benefits to one’s overall health if they merely perform 15 minutes of exercise a day. We suggest adding 5-7 minutes of stretching, using our IsoStrength family of products (www.isostrength.com) to that 15-20 minute daily exercise routine to assist in helping you lose weight and be an overall healthier individual. Look forward to talking to you again soon!
Hi Dr. Khademi here — remember to drink plenty of water, breathe deeply and stretch daily.
We all love traveling but one of the drawbacks of traveling is the journey to get wherever you are going. Transit times are long and more often than not the first day of individuals trips are shot because of wait times, long flights, longer train rides etc. How would you like to change this and make your transit time and travel both enjoyable and beneficial to your health? You should set aside 15-20 minutes during your journey to find a place to stretch your muscles and take a few deep breaths. The benefit of this is you are keeping your body loose and your mind clear and ultimately being productive while traveling.
Our IsoStrength stretch devices are a perfect marriage for all individuals who are traveling. The portability of our devices, such as the Lite and Travel device (www.isostrength.com), allow you to go to the back of the airplane or the common area in a train to stretch out your tight muscles. Let IsoStrength be to your back what dental floss is to your teeth. Talk to you again soon.
Hi Dr. Khademi here, remember to drink plenty of water, breathe deeply and stretch daily.
The average person spends a little bit of time before and after exercise to stretch their muscles. Although there is nothing wrong with that, there is a better way of looking at stretching that will make it more effective so that it takes on its own identity apart from exercise and increases the overall benefit to your health.
Let’s consider a new paradigm…..Stretching should stand alone. You should practice it on a daily basis, before breakfast, during lunch or before bed, however many times you would like – completely customizable. You do not need to change into your gym clothes, just utilize one of our portable IsoStrength Stretch devices (www.isostrength.com) and adapt a routine that works for you.
You should spend 6-7 minutes targeting the muscles groups important to your performance. IF you stretch just a few minutes every day you train your muscles to be in the most natural state they can be in. In turn, they are more prepared for the competitive nature of sports and exercise and the possibility of injury greatly decreases.
I ask that you try this for a few weeks and improve your overall health and athletic ability. Stay well and I look forward to talking to you again soon.
Hi, Dr. Khademi here, remember to always drink plenty of water, breathe deeply and stretch regularly.
This past weekend I was invited to go to the New York Yacht Club invitational — a sailboat competition in Newport, Rhode Island featuring 22 of the highest rated sailing teams in the world. I had the pleasure of sharing the benefits of our IsoStrength stretching devices (www.isostrength.com) with the team from Hong Kong. While the sport of sailing was a bit of a mystery to me, I was even more unaware of the physical stress and strain the members of the team go through on a daily basis during these competitions. I had the unique opportunity to participate in practice runs on both Saturday and Sunday and was absolutely blown away at the teamwork, strategy and endurance that was displayed by all teams participating in the event. It was both amazing and extremely exciting as these races are all very close and at times dangerous with sailboats nearly colliding with one another in an effort to reach the finish line. All in all I was proud to get an up-close look at a sport which I have long been unfamiliar and also to be able to expose the importance of stretching to a new pool of athletes that I have grown to greatly admire.
Hi my name is Dr. Ehsan Khademi, a Doctor of Chiropractic and the inventor of the IsoStrength family of products. We would like to welcome you to our blog – where we hope to provide you with many tips that help improve your overall health and lifestyle. Our blog will always start with a short message reminding you to drink lots of water, breathe deeply and stretch. These three things are vitally important aspects to reduce your chances of injury and increase your health.
On a normal day, it is essential that you drink ample amounts of water. If you are under stress or participate in various exercises, you need to drink even more water than on a normal day. Some nutritional sources indicate that at the minimum you should drink half of your body weight (in pounds) in ounces per day. For example if you weigh 150 pounds, you should drink a minimum of 75 ounces of water daily. Other sources say that you should drink minimum of 8-8ounce glasses of water per day.
Additionally, because of everyday stress and the hectic lifestyles many of us live, we often fail to take deep enough breaths and starve our bodies of oxygen. Simple deep breaths, a few times a day helps to alkalize the body and assists in pleasing the body providing it with sufficient oxygen to function better.
This brings us to stretching, and the solution we have for you. Our IsoStrength family of products allow you to stretch the entire body in an efficient, effective way that is not only fun, but provides a direct benefit to your overall health. Stretching has recently become the wave of the future. People are starting to realize the benefits of a few minutes of stretching a day for both injury prevention and a well- rounded daily health regimen. We highly recommend visiting our website @ www.isostrength.com for many great stretching techniques and tips.
Once again, be it traveling, working or spending time taking care of the family, it is vital that you drink sufficient water, focus on making the time to concentrate on breathing deeply and appropriately and stretch the muscles in your body to help appease both your body and mind.
